The person behind the code
I'm Kian Ranjbar — a Full-Stack Engineer based in Los Angeles. I graduated from UC Irvine with a B.S. in Computer Science (Information Management & Data Analytics), GPA 3.992, and went straight into the startup world.
Currently I'm a Full-Stack Engineer III at Brandboom, a B2B wholesale marketplace, where I own features end-to-end — from schema design to frontend delivery. I've shipped AI-powered workflows, rebuilt CI pipelines, and mentored junior engineers along the way.
I think the next chapter of software engineering looks less like writing every line yourself and more like orchestrating AI agents to do the heavy lifting. The craft is shifting from pure implementation to architecture, judgment, and knowing how to steer these systems toward the right outcome. But none of that replaces actually understanding the systems underneath — you still need to know what's happening at the infrastructure, data, and code level to build anything reliable on top of it.
